About
Methow 2 is a plusher velvet than Methow 1; and, like Methow 1, is fabulous for upholstery or drapery – or Christmas stockings, purses, totes, pillow, clothing – whatever you would want to make out of velvet.
Eco Facts
In addition to being safe to use, Oeko-Tex certified fabrics have a skin friendly pH. If you took (and remember) your high school chemistry, you may recall that pH is the “Potential for Hydrogen,” and measures whether molecules give hydrogen atoms – meaning that they are acidic – or accept hydrogen atoms – meaning that they are bases (Think lye soap as in the Beverly Hillbillies). Most areas of your skin have a pH of between 4.0 and 5.8. When we say our fabrics have a skin friendly pH, we mean that they have a similar acid-base balance. This means the fabrics will fell lovely against your skin, not itching or stinging by being either too acidic or too base.
The Fabric Name
Methow is a river in Washington State, and it has given its name to a valley and an entire area that offers some of the best cross-country skiing anywhere.
